(DS), the Farm Services and Risk Management division of CGB Enterprises, Inc., provides Crop Insurance, Farm Services and Risk Management services to producer clients in 28 states through a network of direct and independent agents.

Job Location: Ohio (East Region)
Basic Job Description
: Provides oversight and direction to a team of marketing professionals to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Stays abreast of changes in the crop insurance environment to best serve the objectives of the organization. DS’ greatest strength in crop insurance and grain marketing has been our understanding of a total risk management program(s) for farmers. Successful applicants will be passionate about leveraging that knowledge and make it a powerful tool for growth in crop insurance relationships with independent agents we serve. 
Primary Job Duties 

  • Lead a team of DS Crop Insurance Marketing Representatives including recruitment, selection and development to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and service new crop insurance business through a network of independent agencies
  • Develop and implements strategic marketing plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
  • Serve as a leader in developing out company's market share
  • Serves as liason between marketing department and other company units
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Provide effective guidance and training to marketing team and to independent agents
  • Understand and be able to explain crop insurance as a risk management tool
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Directs market channel developement activity and coordinates goals for marketing team
  • Meets with key clients, assisting marketing representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Represent DS at regional industry functions
  • Promote related grain marketing services

  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
  • Has an agricultural background

Education Requirements
: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business preferred with a minimum of five (5) years related experience with progressive management responsibilities.

Travel Required
: Travel within regional marketing territory required
